The department is a well-equipped modernised, deals with the study of Surgery, which is a branch of medical science to save the life from emergency.

There are different branches in that department, like General Surgery, Systemic Surgery, Orthopaedics, Dental Surgery, Ophthalmology, Plastic Surgery etc.

Lectures are conducted with the aim of making each & every student well versed with the subject.

The bones, fracture articles, X-ray plates, specimens, models, slides etc. are used to explain the topics with live demonstration.

Department is well organized with charts, models & specimen. Competent teachers are always available to solve the doubts & queries of the students.

Both theory , practical & clinical classes are taught in the curriculum of B.H.M.S. in the second & third year. University Examination is conducted at the end of one year of third year of B.H.M.S.

 

 

 

METHODOLOGY

 

The lectures are in the form of classroom teaching and in patient & outpatient department exposure. Classroom teaching includes diagrammatic presentations and demonstrations.

Academic performance of each and every student is closely monitored by conducting periodical tests, records are duly maintained.
